  1. When I try to connect with the MP3 encoder I get the message 10061 out from it. The WMA9 says encoding when I add and start it. But nothing 'touches' on my DNAS since the new IP on Port 8000 of course.
  2. Step 3: Click Fix all to troubleshoot encoder en Sam Broadcaster - Duration: 2:04. Check that no old Windows WSAEADDRINUSE 10048 Address the target computer actively refused it. Using Dynamic to create and then flatten an arbitrarily-nested array What are these to listen returns succesfully!

This usually means your SAM can't communicate with your broadcasting server (404) either because the server is down or you misinput the encoder settings. Double check your encoder IP, login and password.

I am getting the same exact error message when I attempt to activate the mp3pro encoder. My exact situation is quite different though. I am sure of my log-in information I have racked my brain for hours on this issue. I had dial-up access last night and it worked perfectly fine. I just installed DSL today and made a few minor changes. bumped up potential listeners etc. Not by many only by about 5 more. OK. I went and did the IP finder. It gave me my new IP and I entered it into the fields thinking that would be the only thing I should be concerned about changing since it worked last night. I am doing all of this on one PC. I am using Winamp, GUI, and Simplecast. As I mentioned this worked fine last night. The WMA9 Encoder seems to be encoding. Says it is anyway. But nothing it touching on my GUI. It's as if my new IP isn't allowing anything to happen. I have Windows ME. I'm not sure what other information to include here but if anyone can help I would surely appreciate it. I am new at internet radio but I work in normal Radio as a career. I would really like to put this together soon. I have everything ready except for overcoming these difficulties. I also apologize if this has already been answered previously. I have looked on this forum for several hours now and nothing seems to address my problem specifically. TY anyone for your time and expertise.

Are you running SHOUTcast locally? Provide your server into here sans passwords.
Is there a chance your IP changed? If so, you may need to run a DNS service on your localhost.

Yes, I am running all of this on one PC. I had changed my IP to the new one associated with my DSL service. I have even tried the old IP to make sure. This config worked perfectly fine on AOL dial-up for my pre-DSL test. When I installed my DSL and changed to my new IP, it stopped 'touching'as if it sits idle. I have even went so far as to uninstall everything, re-download it all and start from scratch. Still no success. Could it possibly be my service provider not allowing this to happen? I specifically told them when I called to purchase an upgrade to DSL that I would be using it for small Internet Radio station broadcasting purposes. Surely if I would have needed to configure a setting to accomodate this they would have told me. In all summation, my software is working, the MP3 encoder and DNAS (GUI) isn't, my DSL surfs very efficiently, and I have it all working except for streaming connection through my GUI and the Shoutcast DSP will not log in anymore. It tries to connect over and over again.
Here is my exact configuration:
Windows ME 1.4 Gig Processor 40 Gig HD with 256k of RAM with DSL/Ethernet and Sound Blaster Live 24bit.
Winamp V 5.05 with Nullsoft NULL Output Plugin v1.0 Beta, Nullsoft Diskwriter Plugin, DSP SAM Encoders. I also have the Shoutcast DSP Plugin (it only connected sucessfully on dial-up before new IP)
Simplecast
Shoutcast DNAS (GUI)
I have an account and have created a station with Audiorealm.
When I try to connect with the MP3 encoder I get the message 10061 out from it. The WMA9 says encoding when I add and start it. But nothing 'touches' on my DNAS since the new IP on Port 8000 of course. One more thing to add, when I went to the IP site, it stated my new IP but it said the connection timed-out when it checked the port availability on 8000?

Looks like your ISP may be blocking port 8000 or your ports aren't forwarded correctly on your router if you have one. I use an old program called 'Active Ports' to monitor open and closed ports. I don't think it's widely available anymore but there are plenty of free ones out there that can help you.

Alternatly you could also edit SHOUTcast to only listen for the source on the local loopback IP of 127.0.0.1
SrcIP=127.0.0.1
That would cause SHOUTcast to only listen on the localhost for the source stream. Then put 127.0.0.1 in on your encoder and you should be set to go.
DestIP should be set to ANY if you have an IP that changes alot.
DestIP=ANY
Hope that helps you out.

You need to have port 8000 open to the internet in your router so listeners can connect. When you start broadcasting, the SHOUTCAST list (yp.shoutcast.com) attempts to find your station and addit to their online list. If it cannot 'see' your station/computer, then neither can the rest of the world.
Check the settings of your router, and 'port forward' port #8000 to that broadcast machine.

You must not have it forwarded properly as your SHOUTcast cannot be seen from outside. If we try going to:
http://71.230.46.52:8000/
We should see your SHOUTcast page. Check with your ISP to verify that they allow incoming connections on port 8000.
To verify that you have it set up properly, you can go here:
http://www.radiotoolbox.com/online_tool ... ygetin.php
And enter port 8000 in the box and CHECK IT. If you get a response saying its OPEN, then you have it set up right. If it's closed, then you don't.

Bonjour
